The labyrinth

General aspects

The robot has a base of maximum 10cm x 10cm. There do not exist any provisions considering the robot’s mass. The robots will leave simultaneously at the custom referee. The task will be finished when the first robot got out of the labyrinth.

The robot’s characteristics

A. The robot should be fully autonomous. Both the material from which the robot is made and its mechanism will be chosen by the team.

B. Every robot should have attached a start number in a visible place. This will be provided by the organizers.

C. The START/STOP sensor is necessary for the simultaneous robot’s start.

D. For not being influenced by the ambiental light of the reflectors and flashes of the cameras, it is recommended the use of modulated and filtered sensors. Organizers are not assuming the incorrect functioning of the robots.

The robot’s limitations

A. For safety measures it is necessary to equip the robot with a stop sensor, IR, which will be operated by the referee.

B. Any kind of devices are strictly prohibited. This can cause the opponent’s jamming.

C. It is forbidden the usage of components which can cause the disrepair of the playing area or of the adverse robot.

The playing area

A. The playing area is a white, wood surface, with the size of 2,8 x 3m. On this surface, it is realized one maze with two entries and just one exit. The white walls of the maze are minimum 10cm height.

B. The wall’s distance it is about 28.2cm and between the gates is about 20cm.

C. On the way, there are a lot of dead ends and it is possible for the robots to meet each other.

D. The starting points are symmetric.

E. The two entry routes will be similar and and separated and at some point the route will be common.

The competition’s deployment

A. The robots are divided according to the number of participants. The courses will be held in system groups/quarters/semifinal/final. The games must be supervised by three referees. Their decisions must be unanimous and finals. Their contestation is not allowed.

B. On the playing process every team has the right for two interruptions, each of them for 5 minutes. Another pauses are allowed only for mechanical problems and with the referee’s permission. Changes and appointments are not allowed. If the teams are not present at the start in maximum one minute by the requests, they will lose the match.

C. After the homologations, it is allowed leaving the competition’s hall only for reparations with the condition to come back to the team in the time given by the referee.

The homologation

The homologation will take place at the beginning of the competition.
